The 16th Zhejiang China Intangible Cultural Heritage Expo opens grandly in Keqiao.

On December 20, the 16th Zhejiang China Intangible Cultural Heritage Expo was grandly opened at the Shaoxing International Convention and Exhibition Center. Chen Jiayuan, former vice chairman of the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, attended the opening ceremony and announced the opening. Ren Hongliang, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shaoxing Keqiao District Committee and Minister of the Propaganda Department , and Chu Xiaoyan, member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture, Radio, Film and Tourism, delivered speeches respectively. Ye Jing, President of the Zhejiang Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Association, introduced the relevant situation of the Expo. Song Guoquan, former deputy secretary of the Party Leadership Group and deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Anhui Provincial People's Congress, Chen Ronggao, former secretary-general of the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Zhang Jing, director of the UNESCO Asia-Pacific International Training Center for Intangible Cultural Heritage, Zhang Xilong, former deputy director and first-level inspector of the International Exchange and Cooperation Bureau of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Yang Zhi, former director of the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Regional Center for Intangible Cultural Heritage and Minister-Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Australia, Jin Yibin, secretary of the Party Committee of the China Academy of Art, Li Xuechun, director of the Gansu Provincial Museum of Literature and History, Jiang Yufeng, full-time deputy director of the Provincial Museum of Literature and History, Wu Haiyang, chairman of the Keqiao District CPPCC of Shaoxing, Ren Hongliang, member of the Standing Committee of the Keqiao District Party Committee of Shaoxing and Minister of the Propaganda Department, Zhao Hongchuan, former deputy director of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and vice president of the Intangible Cultural Heritage Association, and other leaders and guests attended the opening ceremony.


The theme of this expo is "People's Intangible Cultural Heritage for the People", which interprets the origin of intangible cultural heritage, stimulates the vitality of intangible cultural heritage, connects modern life, and blooms the splendor of the times. It is divided into 12+1 sections: "Eight-party Gathering - Local Exhibition Areas", "Herbs and Hearts - Traditional Medicine Exhibition Area", "Prosperous Tea - Tea Culture Exhibition Area", "Exquisite Food - Traditional Food Exhibition Area", "Ten Miles of Red Makeup - Wedding Customs Culture Theme Exhibition Area", "Colorful Clothes - Hanfu Culture Experience Hall, Traditional Clothing Theme Hall", "Hundreds of Crafts and Hundreds of Gifts - Zhejiang Characteristic Souvenirs Exhibition Area", "Cloud Intangible Cultural Heritage - Zhejiang Cultural Exchange Digital Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Area", "Nice Liquor - Wine Culture Exhibition Area", "Good Things Collection - Intangible Cultural Heritage Comprehensive Exhibition Area", "Intangible Cultural Heritage Sharing Experience Area", "Intangible Cultural Heritage Boutique Exhibition Area", and "People's Intangible Cultural Heritage Stage". The total exhibition area is 26,000 square meters, with more than 1,000 exhibitors, including 9 representative projects of human intangible cultural heritage, hundreds of national-level representative projects of intangible cultural heritage, and more than 300 provincial-level representative projects of intangible cultural heritage.


This expo is closely centered around the theme of "The people's intangible cultural heritage shared by the people" and has specially launched ten major intangible cultural heritage sharing contents.

  1. Sharing of intangible cultural heritage between provinces and cities

It has carefully collected regional characteristic intangible cultural heritage projects from 5 provinces (Zhejiang, Anhui, Sichuan, Qinghai, Yunnan), 9 cities, and multiple counties (cities, districts).

2. Sharing of traditional medicine

It showcases nearly 50 national and provincial representative traditional medicine projects in the province, demonstrating the profoundness of traditional medicine. It also invites experienced old Chinese medicine practitioners to provide consultations, so that the wisdom and warmth of traditional medicine can benefit the general public.

3. Sharing traditional food

It brought together more than 50 intangible cultural heritage food projects for display and performance, and invited more than 20 famous local snacks to be made and displayed on site, bringing the audience a visual and taste feast of intangible cultural heritage.

4. Sharing of traditional wedding customs and culture

The 9-meter-long and 6-meter-wide Jiangnan "Wangong Bed" - the Qianlong Babu Bed of the Qing Dynasty was specially exhibited. The Shili Hongzhuang series display, the Shili Hongzhuang wedding customs and cultural live demonstration and audience experience interaction allow visitors to personally experience the fun of traditional weddings and feel the cultural charm that transcends time and space.

5. Sharing of cultural and tourism products

It brings together 110 cultural and creative units from across the province, showcasing more than 1,000 creative cultural and tourism products, telling the unique regional cultural stories of cultural and tourism products, and empowering the unique traditional craftsmanship of cultural and creative products.

6. Sharing of traditional clothing culture

A Hanfu Culture Experience Hall and a Traditional Costume Theme Hall have been specially set up to allow visitors to personally experience the unique charm of Hanfu culture, and to showcase representative items of traditional costumes. Through wonderful displays and performances, the profoundness of Chinese costume culture is vividly interpreted.

7. Sharing of digital intangible cultural heritage

Integrate various intangible cultural heritage resources in Zhejiang Province, integrate them into the digital platform of Zhejiang Cultural Investment-Zhejiang Cultural Exchange Center, and present and interact through digital means.

8. Sharing tea culture

The event fully showcased the mellow fragrance of tea, the elegance of tea ceremony, the exquisiteness of teaware, the allure of tea snacks and the tranquility of tea space, presenting a visual and sensory feast for the audience. During the event, the audience can watch and experience tea culture up close, from brewing tea to appreciating teaware, and feel its unique charm in all aspects.

9. Sharing of intangible cultural heritage experience

It includes the "Shizhuzhai Woodblock Watermarking Skills Experience Hall", "Maitreya Culture Experience Hall", "Rice Sculpture Traditional Production Skills Experience Hall", "Danxi Wine Traditional Production Skills Experience Hall", "Southern Song Dynasty Official Kiln Traditional Production Skills Experience Hall", "Tinware Traditional Production Skills Experience Hall", "Bronzeware Traditional Production Skills Experience Hall", as well as teaching experiences of projects such as "Shaoxing Flower Carving Production Technology", "Traditional Lacquer Fan Production Skills", "String Puppet", and "Shadow Play".

10. Sharing of intangible cultural heritage performances

This year's expo has set up a special "People's Intangible Cultural Heritage Stage", and arranged a total of 15 hours of performances of intangible cultural heritage programs from the 20th to the 23rd, allowing the people to watch and share the wonderful intangible cultural heritage programs.

In order to promote the innovative development of Zhejiang's intangible cultural heritage and drive the historical classic industry to rejuvenate and show new glory, the first Zhejiang Historical Classic Industry Boutique Auction was set up at this Intangible Cultural Heritage Expo to explore new models for the industrialization development of intangible cultural heritage.

During this Intangible Cultural Heritage Expo, a series of supporting activities were arranged, including the opening ceremony, closing ceremony and award ceremony, the Intangible Cultural Heritage live broadcast room, the Kuaiji Mountain brand launch and promotion conference, and Dunli Weiyi - Traditional Classic Culture Fashion Design Application.
